Interactive whiteboards and their collaborative learning software have many strengths in the classroom. Participants will explore: (1) the interactive whiteboard's role in the classroom, (2) its advantages over traditional and other digital mediums, (3) the relationship between traditional instructional design practices and engaging, effective lesson activities designed for the SMART Board interactive whiteboard and (4) various usage tips. Participants will also learn how to use SMART Notebook software tools which include functions that help you use the interactive whiteboard more effectively and create engaging, interactive and dynamic classroom lesson activities.
